Adoption
Our adoption process includes a $650 adoption fee, which covers spaying/neutering, core vaccinations, and deworming.
We require a minimum two-week trial period to ensure compatibility. If it doesn't work out, we'll take the dog back, no questions asked. Adoption fee is only due after the ‘Foster to Adopt’ period.

Once selected, we'll conduct interviews, reference checks, and a home visit.
For dogs from Mexico, we follow a protocol that includes a minimum two-month stay in an open-air shelter or foster home to assess health and behavior. We provide documented videos, photos of teeth, heartworm and tick disease tests, and vaccination records.
Locally sourced dogs undergo a strict protocol, including multiple dewormers, booster vaccinations, rabies shots, and spaying/neutering at the appropriate age.
As a volunteer-run rescue, every adoption dollar supports dog care, vetting, transportation, and fostering supplies. The cost of rescuing and vetting a local dog is approximately $1000, so we rely on fundraising to cover the shortfall.
For dogs from Mexico, more than half the adoption fee goes to the original rescue/shelter, with the remainder covering flight costs.
